I have had this unit for around 6 weeks now. It does shed so lets be honest, but other than that it washes and wears well. The hair styles beautifully with just water but a little mousse locks the curls in place all day (but will be a little crunchy - squeeze hair to eliminate the crunch)

Absolutely LOVE this unit. I got a lot of compliments. I installed the unit myself. No glue or too much pluck needed. Simply sewed the elastic in the cap and vola!
