Now what type of hair topper do you need?

Type of topper normally refer to the base kind. There are mainly 3 types of toppers popular in the current market: Mono mesh( monofilament) with PU(polyurenthane) around the edge; lace base with PU with lace front; silk base with wefts.

Mono Topper with PU around

This is the most basic kind of topper, mono mesh is good at shaping and air breathing, when it comes to toppers, you need the look to be fat but have a natural curve to the base, and cool feature is important for wearing. If you have your hair loss area within 5x5inche and very care about air breathing then mono topper is best for you.

Lace Topper

Lace topper is made with thin sheer lace fabric in the front to help create a more natural hairline or part area. Lace is very soft, it is different from mono topper’s shape feature, lace topper would lay on your head softly, so you need to prep your own bio hair very flat before install a lace topper.
This determines that if you bio hair is strong and a lot, lace topper might not be good for you, if you suffer mid or advance stages of hair loss, or your bio hair is very fine and soft, then lace topper would be great for you.
But both of mono and lace toppers have hand-tied hair fiber on the hairline, center, and sometimes the part area. So the look is natural and the base is breathable.

Silk Base Toppers

Silk base topper is made with 3 or 4 layers of fabrics with hidden knots technique to grantee the scalp looking. With this type of topper, the hair looks just like it is growing from your scalp and are virtually undetectable. Normally the size of silk base topper is larger than 5x5, to ones larger than 6x7 with wefts, we call it wiglet or half or 3/4 wig. With comb, clips, or a elastic band, it is snug around your head like a halo hairpiece.
Silk base topper is designed to cover your crown or most of head with a scalp look base, this kind of topper is good for customer who has few to none bio hair on crown or most of head and want to part the hair in different ways without showing knots or lace grids. But 3-4 layers of base makes this kind of topper not good at air breathing, so if you care this a lot, then it is not good for you.
